JhonatanGonzález

AI-first product engineer.

I turn a business need into a system that works in production. AI writes most of the code; the decisions and the responsibility are mine.

About

From the problem to production, and what comes after.

I have built software since 2024: I started by automating tasks for Recover, and today I am its lead developer. For the last 9 months I have done it every day with Claude Code as my main tool. I do not write every line by hand and I do not hide it: my job is everything around the code. I work out what the business needs, decide the architecture, direct the implementation, review and test what ships, and keep it running once customers are paying.

What I care about most is measuring. When a model, a vendor or an architecture has to be chosen, I test it on real data first and decide second.

Measured, not promised

Three decisions I made with data.

Every figure comes from a measurement of my own. Where the method can be published, it is.

I replaced NIA's model after testing 10 against its real code.

I replayed 30 real WhatsApp conversations through each model, with the same tools and the same price verifier. Two judges from different vendors graded blind.

How I work

Six steps, always in the same order.

  1. Understand

What the business needs, and how we will know it works.

  2. Decide

Architecture, vendors and costs. When in doubt, measure before choosing.

  3. Direct

AI implements. I define what gets built, review how it turned out and answer for it.

  4. Test

Automated tests and CI are the gate: nothing reaches production without passing.

  5. Operate

Infrastructure as code, and real payments through signed, idempotent webhooks.

  6. Measure

Cost, latency and usage in production. What comes out goes back to step one.

Shall we build something?

I am looking for remote work as an AI-first product engineer. If you run a business that needs software, I also build it through Cimadium.
